Identification card (IC)/passport
Insurance information. Not sure? At least call your agent.
Letter of Guarantee (LOG) from your employer if any.
Emergency contact details. Not sure? At least call your agent.

Comfortable and stylish clothing vis a vis hospital gowns...
Slippers and cozy socks—because hospital floors aren’t runways.
Pillow or blanket from home (optional for extra comfort)
Eye mask and earplugs (for better rest)
"Freshen Up!"
Toothbrush, toothpaste, and all the self-care magic (think soap, moisturizer, etc.).
Lip balm—for that hospital air that’s drier than a good sense of humor.
Bring your own Pad (sanitary) for that time of the month, and yes hospital charges for something that may be very uncomfortable....
"Health Arsenal"
Medications (in their original containers, not a baggie!).
Your health gadget sidekicks (glasses, hearing aids, etc.).
"Boredom Busters"
Phone, charger, and endless entertainment (books, podcasts, Netflix?).
Headphones, so you don’t become the ward’s DJ.
"Snack Attack"
Hospital-approved munchies for those in-between moments.
Water bottle, straws preferred — stay hydrated while dodging juice cups.
"Little Lifesavers"
Notebook and pen (you’ll want to write down all that important info).
A bit of cash or card—for when vending machines call your name.
Credit Card for express check outs.
Kiddos
"Little Hero’s Toolkit"
Notebook & colored pens to draw or write about their heroic adventures.
One or 2 of their fav plush soft toys.
Maternity
"Mama's Must-Haves"
Doctor admission letter, usually pre-planned way ahead.
U and your spouse's lovely ICs.
Letter of guarantee (from work if any)
Original copies of receipts for all your antenatal visits for claims for Medisave. If we are unsure how to proceed, the business office can assist.
Marriage certificate (if u want to register the baby during the "staycation".)
A nursing bra perhaps without underwire support for the few tender days.
Maternity clothes that are breastfeeding-friendly (front open type) and another for going home.
Hair bands and ties for mummies with well-endowed long hair.
Breast pumps, otherwise you can borrow for a fee.......
Prepare a flask or 2 of the highly recommended Red Dates Tea (longan, red dates, ginger drink) before going to the hospital, which may provide, but is very limited.
Baby Blanket/Swaddle wrap, set of clothes/mittens/booties/beanies, if u want something fancy and staying with tradition. Otherwise, the hospital does provide.
